Job Purpose:

Lecturing and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes.


Honours Degree / Masters in a creative field, such as Fine Art, Theatre, Writing or Design.

Work Experience:

Min 3 years€™ experience in a creative field is required, with a portfolio illustrating the candidate's critical and creative ideas as well as strong crafting skills (in their discipline).

The module supports the students in preparing for a creative industry; ideation (conceptual, critical and creative thinking), crafting and guiding students in their creative process is thus essential.

Knowledge of ideation techniques and teaching experience is an advantage. 

Participation in the creative industry such as exhibitions is an advantage.

Computer literacy essential, experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required for academic administration and delivery; knowledge in image, sound or video editing software an advantage.

Key Performance Area:

Preparation and lecturing as per the Module Guide;

Teaching curriculum outcomes as per contract hours;

Briefing students for assignments and providing feedback;

Marking assessments and providing feedback;

Presenting class marks and feedback to the Programme Managers;

Actively engaging with current trends in teaching an learning strategies within the VEGA environment.
